Update – Xiaomi had already announced a new event on July 27th in China. Though there is no official confirmation about the devices that will be launched, there many rumors suggesting the company to launch Redmi Note 4 & Mi Notebook. Now the leaked retail box confirms major specifications of the device. If the image is to be believed, there is no dual camera setup on this device. It comes with 5.5-inch Full HD display same as on Redmi Note 3. The processor is upgraded from octa-core Helio X10 to deca-core Helio X20 chipset.
It sports an all metal body and might be slimmer than the Redmi Note 3. The device also comes equipped with the fingerprint sensor. Just like Redmi Note 3, the new Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13MP + 5MP camera setup and 4,100mAh battery. The device might run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based latest MIUI 8 out of the box. The high-end variant comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, whereas Redmi Note 3 has only 32GB of storage. It comes with dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
Earlier: July 13th, 2016 – Dual camera systems on smartphones are a trend now, and we can see them implemented in every other smartphone. But mostly the smartphones having these modules are priced at around $500 to $700, i.e. the premium price point. But now, we have a new teaser which shows this camera module being implemented on a smartphone which usually retails for the price targeted towards the budget audience. Yes, we have a new teaser image which shows the upcoming Redmi Note 4 smartphone from Xiaomi.
Well yes, looks like Xiaomi is ready to jump into this segment of smartphones with the dual camera system. The picture shown below is the teaser image which was leaked earlier yesterday, and it shows off the Redmi Note 4. Looking at the picture, it is sporting the dual camera system one below the other, the way HTCintroduced their first dual camera smartphoneM8 back in 2013. The LED flash is placed in between the camera lens. However, there is no fingerprint scanner at the back.
So if the phones are supposed to have one, then it has to be on the front or maybe the company might place it on the sides. But it completely changes the design of the present Redmi Note 3, which has the scanner at the back of the device. However, there are no specs details with this leak but according to the previous rumors, it is expected that the device will be launch very soon, and it is supposed to sport a bigger display than the current variant.
It is anticipated that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and will be coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device will also have 16GB of onboard internal storage. All the specs are still being speculated and we might some on them soon in coming few weeks. Looking at the specs and the new camera system, the device might be priced at a slightly higher range, but then again we can’t confirm that since we have no rumors to back that up. But we are hoping the company continues to price them on the same lines of the existing variant.
