Xiaomi is one smartphone manufacturer who is leading the charts in china along with Huawei. The Chinese company has a huge follower base in India and china especially for its low priced mid-range phones such as the Redmi 2 and Mi 4i. Xiaomi has always provided cutting edge phone at half the price compared to the competitor. Now Xiaomi is back and this time, the news is about the Mi Note 2 that is slated to hit the shelves later this year.
Xiaomi traditionally copied Apple but off late, the Chinese manufacturer has been smitten by Samsung’s phones and we can see the same in the Mi 5. Now Xiaomi wants the same curved display that seems to fall off the sides in the Galaxy S7 edge in the Mi Note 2. But this phone will not be the first non-Samsung device to feature a curved edge display, other phones such as the Vivo Xplay5 Elite also features similar Samsung-made, super AMOLED QHD resolution display. It is also reported that Huawei has contacted Samsung for a similar display.
Xiaomi has been working hard on the Mi 5 for a long time and since the phone is approaching its release date, the Chinese manufacturer is likely to shift its focus on building the mi Note 5 for the next coming months. Unconfirmed reports have pointed that the phone will come with the same snapdragon 820 in the Mi 5, 5.7 inches curved display, 4 GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor, aluminium and glass body, 32 GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.
We might also see the 3d touch display that is embedded into the iPhone screen but I would bet against it. The suggest retail price would be under $400.
