The Sony Xperia Z Ultra had one of the finest displays in the 2013 Xperia range and remains Sony’s largest smartphone to date with its 6.44-inch 1080p display. Sony’s new entry in the “Ultra” phablet range, the Xperia T2 Ultra has started to ship in some Asian markets. It has a slightly smaller 6-inch 720p display, but also comes with an IPS panel.
Both phones have been sized up in the pictures below that also compares the colour, contrast and viewing angles. The Xperia T2 Ultra appears to be brighter than the Xperia Z Ultra (although we do not know what display brightness settings were used here). Viewing angles on both are very good although contrast looks slightly better on the Z Ultra. Overall not a bad result at all, considering the T2 Ultra is a mid-ranger. Which display gets your vote?
