Sony still hasn’t revealed any plans to bring the Xperia Z5 to the U.S., but this week its flagship phone launched just north of us in Canada for a pretty great price. The device is available exclusively from Bell in the country for $649.95 Canadian dollars, which comes to roughly $496 in the U.S.
If you live in Canada, you can buy the device now in black or white. It’s also available with a two-year contract for $199.95 Canadian up front.
The Xperia Z5 is a pretty great phone on paper, combining Sony’s refined industrial design with high-end specs and features. That includes a water-resistant build and a fingerprint reader built-into the power button. It also packs a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 23-megapixel rear camera, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 2900mAh battery, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
We’re still waiting for Sony to bring the Xperia Z5 to the U.S., though given the company’s history you probably shouldn’t hold your breath for this one. If you just can’t wait, you can always order the phone from a third party retailer at a marked up price.
