For those of you not familiar with ZOMM’s Wireless Leash, it’s a Bluetooth-enabled keyring-style affair that connects to your phone and screams blue murder should your phone move too far from it. The ZOMM is also a fully functioning, noise-cancelling speakerphone for handsfree communication.
As a security device, it’s a neat idea and we’re all for it. And now it has its own Android app in the shape of the myZOMM app on Android Market. The app allows you to tweak your Wireless Leash’s settings from your phone and, in a cunning twist, unlocks two-way functionality in your ZOMM, enabling you to find it using a single button press on your handset. Attach it to your keys, for example, and it’ll let you locate them should they go awry.
“The beta testers for the myZOMM App have provided a wealth of feedback and we are extremely satisfied with the application,” said Henry Penix, CEO of ZOMM, LLC. “It was a natural next step to integrate our Wireless Leash device with a mobile application to streamline the user experience while increasing existing functionality.”
