Right on schedule, ZTE has announced the Nubia X6 phablet today. It’s actually more of a tablet than even a phablet, coming with a gigantic 6.44-inch touchscreen.
It’s got 1080p Full HD resolution, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and optical image stabilization, a 13 MP front camera, a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32, 64, or 128 GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, dual-SIM support, NFC, and a 4,250 mAh battery. It runs Android, obviously, but which exact version isn’t clear just yet. It’s just 7.9 mm thin.
The Nubia X6 with 32 GB of storage is paired with a lower-clocked 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU, and it’s been priced at 2,999 yuan, which means $483 or €350 at the current exchange rates. The 64 GB model will go for 3,499 yuan, or around $564 or €409. If you need 128 GB of space, you’ll have to pay 3,999 yuan, or approximately $644 or €467.
The Nubia brand hasn’t so far gotten a truly global rollout, so we assume that the X6 will be limited to China at least in the beginning.
