ZTE’s getting ready to unveil its first smartphones carrying its new Nubia brand. This was unveiled at the end of last month, and should help the Chinese company better market its upcoming high-end devices.
And it looks like the ZTE Nubia Z5 will be the first one to see the light of day. This 5-inch phablet was also mentioned during the Nubia announcement, and some of its specs were unveiled. The screen’s resolution will be 1920×1080, and it will come with a quad-core processor and 13 MP camera.
Here are some shots comparing the Z5′s insanely-high ppi display with those on the Samsung Galaxy S III and the iPhone 4S.
Obviously, the Nubia’s pixel-packed display manages to show more detail than the other two. As for color saturation, the Z5 came out in between the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III. It’s unclear at the moment what exact panel the first Nubia is using, but it may be the same as that found in the HTC J Butterfly and HTC Droid DNA.
Not many details are known about the ZTE Nubia Z5 right now. It should be around 7.6 mm thin, and may arrive on certain markets in December. We’ll keep you posted.
