Android rooting is becoming more and more popular every day. Rooting is popular for a number of different reasons. Users love having a longer-lasting battery, for example. Rooting Android also gives users faster performance, custom ROMs, and access to hundreds of new apps.

Unfortunately, many Android users are completely unaware how to root their smartphones and tablets. In the past, rooting Android required users to read complex instruction manuals on obscure programmer forums. In most cases, rooting also removed the manufacturer’s warranty from the device. As a result, many users were frightened away from rooting their Android.

Today, Android users no longer have to root their devices manually. Forget about stumbling through complicated instructions from the XDA Developers Forum. Thanks to new Android rooting software programs, anybody can root their Android in ten minutes or less.

Advantages of rooting Advantages of rooting

Before we tell you how to root your Android device, here are some of the most popular benefits of Android rooting:

-Faster performance: Who doesn’t appreciate faster Android performance? After rooting your Android, you’ll notice that apps run more smoothly and transitioning between windows is incredibly fast. Whether you want a faster internet connection or better gaming performance, Android rooting can help.

-Tether a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection: Rooting Android makes tethering a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection as easy as possible. Tethering allows you to share data plans across a number of different devices. Cell service providers like AT&T charge $20 or moer per month for tethering packages, and rooting Android gives users this feature for free over their existing data plans.

-Increase battery life: Rooting Android gives users access to the deepest layers of their system. After rooting their device, Android users can install free apps that take advantage of this deep access in order to optimize battery life. For example, RootDim brightens or dims the screen beyond what is normally accessible, while SetCPU dynamically adjusts CPU speed according to what the user is doing. These two apps alone can increase battery life by several hours.

-Install custom ROMs: If you’re sick of the default appearance of your Android device, then consider rooting your device to gain access to custom ROMs. Custom ROMs are new user interfaces that can be installed on your Android device to give it a completely new look. The most popular custom ROM – CyanogenMod – is updated more frequently than most default Android operating systems!

-Download new root apps: If you never root your Android device, then you’re missing out on hundreds of exciting apps and features. There are apps that allow you to block any advertisements, for example, as well as apps that allow you to automate tasks on your phone based on the time of day. There are so many top root apps to choose from that the first few days after rooting Android will be like getting a new phone all over again.

-Completely reversible: ‘Unrooting’ an Android device is just as easy as rooting it. So, if you decide that you don’t like any of the new custom ROMs or you just want to preserve your warranty, you can instantly switch back to the default Android operating system with just a few clicks.

it wont let me to the website or programme of one click root

same here, the website isnt working. "This web page is not available"

Heres an alternative Sendspace file link. http://www.sendspace.com/file/3s42d7

Also...this cant root the Note 2 with the latest software..kinda redundant. Tells you that it can root it, then it says at the root procedure, "your device is not supported". Fail

Yeah the same thing has came up when I tried it with my S3 so much for "Any Android"

It may be to do with something being wrong with theyre website as it like connects to them during the root process, ill try again when they're site decides to stop being a bitch

hope its as easy as it says it is...as i know jake shit about doing this.....

site not working....

according to facebook, it doesn't work for lots of android phones. leave it to dippler to spread this around

link to site is not working - and the alternative Sendspace IS unsafe

had to use razrs edge, worked great.

Telling us more about this razrs edge might help a few...

they charge € 30 for the software....

This program requires you to download malware and other unwanted programs...do not, I repeat...DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM

This software is buggy at best and would not work on my Atrix 4G and two other "supported" Android devices. The application crashes. Read the cries for help under Support and you will see a trend. And that is without saying that the website and software are suspect.

I have downloaded this and tried to use it on my AT&T HTC Vivid. I ran it 3 times and it came back with your phone can not be rooted. SOOOOOO THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH MY PHONE. Please fix this as i would love to root my Vivid BUT dont want to break my contract with others that cant reverse the rooting if i need to send my phone back to AT&T.

I downloaded and tried to install the software. System Mechanic stopped it because it detected a Tojan virus. I deleted it from my downloads.

I tried 5 times on my motorola photon 4g didn't work at all just rebooted to phone a couple times

I had the same problem. I tried it the second time and it worked. Phone is perfectly rooted. Only one problem they don't mention in the article. You have to pay for the license to allow oneclickroot to root your phone.

How much is the licensing fee?

gone astray??? nowhere seen

Starts the process with my Nexus 4, and when it gets up to "recognizing device" it says something like "adb driver needed" A) Has anyone else even seen that? B) I have no clue what an "adb driver" IS, what it DOES, WHERE and HOW to FIND one, make sure that it's the PROPER one, and how to INSTALL...? I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY DON'T WANT TO SCREW UP MY PC, OR BRICK MY BEAUTIFUL PHONE... HELP PLEASE SOMEONE!

If you dont want to " brick your beautiful phone " , why start this process in the first place ?

so did somebody tried this...?/?? does it work?or does it make ur phone shitbrick??

First Thing ADB means the drivers for your phone, so if you have a samsung means it's your Kies. For others are the software that communicates your phone with your computer, usually when you connect them, windows does it automatically, you will see it when it begins. Now, the license fee is Now $29.95, which I considered excessive specially when I used, it recognized my phone, then it began rooting my phone, and in the last 25 seconds to get the process done it said : FAILED. The good thing is that my phone froze, so I got scared, but I took the battery off, put it back, and I got my phone back. I'm dying to root my phone, a Galaxy Note 2 from AT&T SGH-I317, Android Version 4.1.2 Baseband Version I317UCAMA4, Build # JZO54K. So finally DIDN'T WORK, I sent an e-mail, and I am waiting for their answer.

I said before that it didn't work, but now I rooted my phone. I just went to Settings, then to Security, continue to Device administrators and I unclicked the ones I have checked and went back to my regular screen. I opened the one click root and after 3 minutes it was rooted. So it is as promised and all my apps are there. No problems so far. Now I have to continue what ROM I'm gonna use.

Paid the fee took a lot of hassling via Paypal to get the site to work. Non of the programs worked and my PC ended up with 3 viruses. Now trying to get money back. Do NOT TOUCH this site

I purchased OneClickRoot because they said that the Note 2 was supported. I tried several times. It always said it was supported, but each time I got to the very end, I'd get a message saying "Problem flashing Device". Contacted them, they told me they were pushing apatch to the program to fix the problem, but in the end, it didn't work on mine either. Also, before the program would let me proceed, I had to download a bunch of new Codecs from Samsung.

Its very easy to root the hydro using (poot) Ive tryd OneClickRoot ect. but the only problem with the hydro is that they are very very easy to go into Bootloop/Brick. I found out the the hard way :/ and i have been trying to find away to Unbrick it but after a few days of reserch its not looking good for the c5170 But if you do decide to Root it Root on just make shure you do a backup i perfer helium so if this happens to you maybe one day u can actuly use it lol + its hard to find roms for it I do recomend clockworkmod manager for installing your rom and using rom tools for the rest but STAY AWAY FROM ( PIMP MY ROM ) or next time you reboot your stuck in the loop.

I had the same isssue with one click root so I found poot @ xda uploaded it and two mins later It was rooted
